We do things a little different here at Boise Goldens! We raise our puppies in our house, teach them, potty-train them, and care for them as if they were going to be our own, forever. And then we send them to you!
Our Process
Raised In A Home
All of our puppies are always raised in a house. No sheds, no garages, no kennel. We know you are looking for a puppy that will live with you, so they live with us to get ready to share a home with their new family!
Potty Training
While no eight-week-old puppy will be perfect, all of our puppies start potty training at five weeks old. By the time they leave for your house, we usually have no poops in their area during the night and all puppies know how to potty on command and hold pee for a schedule (approximately 20-30 minutes).
Prepared From Day 1
All of our puppies receive Early Neurological Training and Early Scent Introduction, processes designed to increase the lifespan, improve the overall health of a dog and boost immunity, and increase their cognitive awareness.

Teaching All The Time
We work with all our puppies on “manding” (the ability to sit to get attention), playing properly, not chewing on any furniture, and much more. Living in a house means they are house trained in many ways. We treat these pups like family!
Socialization
Puppies get regular outings, so they are introduced to many people, noises, car rides, and sounds. We trim nails regularly, touch puppies while eating to train against food aggression, and introduce vacuums! And all of them have been introduced to “pup cups!”

Over the years I’ve worked with several breeders, Boise Goldens is by far the best! Katie and Ryan always made themselves available for questions and even dropping by to visit the puppies. (They even set up a time we could bring our 9 year old dog to meet the litter.) With each visit, Katie would go over how the puppies are growing and how they are progressing with their training- Yes, training! The time this family puts into these puppies is nothing short of amazing. Our sweet boy adjusted so well because of the love and care this family gave him. We would like to highly recommend adopting your Golden Retriever puppy from Boise Goldens. We brought Tobie home when he was 8 weeks old. It was obvious to us from the first day that Tobie’s parents passed on healthy genetics. He was very close to being completely house broken because of Katie Eagy’s loving and consistent training of all the puppies from the litter. He was also consistently sleeping 6 to 7 hours every night upon bringing him home at 8 weeks. She sent us home with great instructions regarding the puppy’s schedule for eating, sleeping, and going “potty outside”. Now he is 13 weeks old and a precious member of our family.

Boise Goldens gave my husband, daughter and me the best puppy we have ever had. He was a chunky, healthy, well cared for puppy. Our dog was crate trained before getting him home and I would say a good majority potty trained. Witnessing the environment the puppies were raised in really sealed the deal. Who would have imagined that eleven puppies staring out of their pen at 6AM in the morning would go viral? Well, maybe just EVERY DOG LOVER EVER! They are so stinking cute!
Yes, they really are all standing there on their own.
Nope, no one staged it. We wanted to capture what we see each morning.
No poop in the pen first thing in the morning (feedings at 6AM, 12PM, and 6PM and lots of play and potty outside before bed!). We are thrilled about this, too!
Yes, the little guy in the back—Stanley—is super polite and cute! And yes, the new owners decided to keep his name Stanley.

Why do some breeders charge more than others?
Like anything else in life, you usually get what you pay for. We believe in the way we raise our puppies and believe that a well-bred, cared-for, and trained puppy will make for a much happier experience for both the dog and owner. There are many things that go into being a responsible breeder, and it isn’t cheap. We are definitely not getting rich from breeding dogs—we do it for the love of this breed and to bring enjoyment to others in owning a great dog.
