Registration Type
( ) Limited Registration: The puppy/dog is a purebred Golden Retriever and has been pre-registered with the AKC and is being sold with limited AKC registration. Breeder agrees to provide Buyer with all AKC registration papers. As such, the puppy is not eligible for exhibiting in Conformation (but may compete in other performance events, such as Agility, Obedience, and Rally). The puppy shall not be bred at any time and if pups are produced, such offspring will not be eligible for AKC registration. The puppy is being sold solely as a companion and breeding of the puppy is expressly prohibited. If at any time the puppy has produced any offspring, the Buyer must contact the Breeder immediately and will pay an “unauthorized breeding fee” of $10,000, and all of Breeder’s warranties set forth in this Agreement will become null and void.
Contract Conditions
Breeder is the lawful owner of the puppy and has the right to transfer ownership of the puppy to the Buyer. Ownership of the puppy will be transferred to Buyer upon Buyer’s payment of the final Purchase Price and signing this contract. Buyer verifies all information is true and correct. Breeder guarantees that the puppy has had proper care to date and has been examined by a veterinarian. Puppy has received its first shots and has had at least two rounds of deworming. Buyer, at their own expense, must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 business days of picking up the puppy in order for the health guarantee to remain valid. Worms, fleas, mites, coccidiosis, giardia, or any other parasites are common in dogs and puppies and are not part of our health guarantee. The Breeder does not assume any liability for any injuries the puppy may sustain after it leaves the Breeder’s property. The veterinarian must provide a written statement deeming the puppy/dog “unfit for purchase”, which must be sent to Breeder within 48 hours of the veterinary examination.
The entire purchase price of any dog covered by this warranty may be applied to a puppy from the next available Boise Goldens litter of your choice if the dog is deemed nonfunctional or put to sleep. Buyer's sole remedy under this Agreement shall be replacement puppy or refund as specifically outlined herein. Breeder shall not be liable for veterinary expenses, emotional damages, consequential damages, or other costs. Breeder has the right to, at any time, choose to stop breeding Golden Retrievers. In this case, no replacement puppies shall be given and this contract is null and void.
The Breeder provides a 24 month warranty from the puppy’s date of birth against any debilitating congenital conditions. Breeder guarantees the puppy will be unaffected by the following genetic health conditions only:
Dysplasia: OFA Severe Dysplasia, or equivalent orthopedic disease requiring surgical intervention or euthanasia
Congenital eye disease causing significant impairment or blindness as
diagnosed by a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist
Testable and preventable disabling problems of genetic origin that prevent the dog
from functioning as a family companion
In the event that a Boise Goldens dog is suspected of having a hereditary defect, this is the procedure to follow:
Notify us of your concern.
Submit hip x-rays to OFA (we do NOT accept Penn Hip testing). We also require that
you send us a copy of the test results that confirm the defect. Breeder does not pay
veterinary fees or any other associated costs such as OFA fees, etc.
Documentation is required with illness listed and proven. The Breeder reserves the
option to obtain a second opinion from the Breeder's vet of choice before actions will
be taken to enforce the warranty terms.
If the dog cannot obtain a normal hip or eye certification, or has a hereditary problem
precluding it to be nonfunctional or the dog needs to be euthanized, a letter from your
vet stating that he has done so must be provided.
To be covered by our warranty:
The dog must be owned by the original buyer as stated on the Bill of Sale and not have changed owners.
The dog must not have whelped or sired a litter.
The dog must be under 24 months of age.
The dog must have been spayed or neutered prior to its second birthday.
All Boise Goldens puppies will need to be given NuVet Plus K9 Wafers daily supplements for at least the first two years of life. We recommend continuing to give these supplements for all stages of a dog’s life.
Never allow your dog to become obese or underfed at any time.
No evidence of abuse or trauma (broken bones, related injuries, etc). We are not responsible for accidents, negligence or poisonings.
Buyer must continue the proper dewormer and vaccinations series appropriate to their age.
Buyer agrees to provide routine veterinary care, vaccinations, parasite prevention, proper
nutrition, exercise, and humane treatment throughout the dog's life.
Hip and elbow dysplasia can be linked to over exercising and lack of nutrition. If this
warranty has to be used, exercising and nutrition will be considered and may void the
contract.
If a buyer decides for any reason that he/she cannot keep their Boise Goldens dog, Breeder must be notified and given first right of refusal to obtain the dog. It is our goal that no puppy of ours will ever end up in a rescue or shelter situation. We want to help you rehome a dog, no matter the circumstances.
The Purchase Price of $xxxx.xx (plus 6% sales tax for Idaho residents) is agreed upon with the balance due in full upon Buyer’s pickup of the puppy. Any shipping and handling expenses are the responsibility of and shall be paid by Buyer. All payments due under this Agreement shall be made in US Dollars and paid to the Breeder in the form of cash or a cashier’s check made out to Boise Goldens. No electronic payments (Venmo, Paypal, Credit Card, etc.) nor personal or business checks are accepted for the final balance. A Deposit of $500.00 has already been provided by the Buyer. The Deposit shall be applied to the final purchase price. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another puppy.
